Heading to the LASA Congress in Boston

From May 24 to 29, I will participate on behalf of CLACSO in the XXXVII Congress of LASA, the Latin American Studies Association, entitled “Our America: Justice and Inclusion”, in the city of Boston, Massachusetts, United States.

One of the central themes will be the discussion of “Indigenous Languages ​​and Literatures,” a topic of great importance to our region. It is worth remembering that 2019 was declared the “International Year of Indigenous Languages” by a resolution of the United Nations General Assembly.

During the LASA Congress you can find us at stand D25 , which I invite everyone to visit to share talks and interviews, and also to appreciate the wide variety of books published by the Latin American Council of Social Sciences in recent times.

I am very excited about the General Meeting of CLACSO Working Groups and Member Centers, which will take place at the stand on Saturday, May 25, between 2:00 and 4:00 PM. A large number of Working Groups and Member Centers have already confirmed their participation.

I am accompanied in the CLACSO delegation by the Directors Pablo Vommaro of Research, Nicolás Arata of Training, and Gustavo Lema of Communication and Information.
