CLACSO and SIGLO XXI have joined forces once again to present this book in which Pilar Calveiro focuses on the power of community resistance to neoliberalism. Through an analysis that considers neoliberal governmentality as a dense and complex web, Calveiro observes the articulation of legal/illegal and public/private power networks that, within neoliberalism, perpetrate various forms of violence aimed at developing veritable politics of fear. Delving into the violent and authoritarian features of this model, the volume emphasizes the formation of power networks that transcend the state apparatus and weave alternative resistance against mechanisms of population control and practices of dispossession.
