Condemnation of the racist attack on the monument of María Remedios del Valle Rosas

El CLACSO Working Group: Civilizational Crisis, Reconfigurations of Racism, Afro-Latin American Social Movements It firmly joins in the repudiation and condemnation expressed against the abhorrent act of racism and vandalism that destroyed the monument to María Remedios del Valle Rosas in the City of Buenos Aires.

That is why we endorse the proclamation of the National Federation of Afro-Argentine Organizations (FNOA) and support the call for restitution and justice, as well as the creation of a new bronze monument that celebrates the courage and determination of Captain María Remedios del Valle Rosas.

Our solidarity with the Afro-Argentine community! Long live the Mother of the Nation!
