We condemn the invasion of Venezuela

We condemn the invasion of Venezuela

As members of CLACSO Working Group on Political Philosophy We condemn the attack perpetrated by the current US government against Venezuela, its territory and
population in the localities of Caracas, capital of the Republic, and the states of
Miranda, Aragua, and La Guaira. These attacks not only affect the Venezuelan people but also
Latin America as a whole. Latin American countries are sovereign.

This aggression against Venezuela is an aggression against our continent and against peace in the
region.

It is an unjustifiable act of violence and a violation of the Charter of the United Nations, which
Articles 1 and 2 establish respect for sovereignty and the legal equality of the
States and the prohibition of the use of force.

The military attack perpetrated by the US government puts lives at serious risk.
of millions of people and threatens stability in the region.

We express our deepest condemnation and call for an end to the
hostilities and solidarity with the Venezuelan people.
