Registry of social science research centers in Venezuela
Joint statement from the Ministry of Popular Power for Science and Technology of Venezuela and the Executive Secretariat of CLACSO
The social sciences play a central role in building a sovereign, independent, and socially just great nation. In fact, the history of the Latin American project has a significant chapter in Venezuelan social sciences.
Aware of this central contribution, our institutions have made progress in the shared construction of a registry of social science research centers in Venezuela, which will allow us to make visible the work they do and to value the capacities built so far.
This registry of Social Science Research Centers CLACSO-MPPCyT is the first of its kind in the country, as a recognition of the dedication of social scientists concerned with building narratives that not only explain existing potentialities and problems, but also generate alternatives to build a society of good living, justice, equity and equality.
The registration process, which opened on Monday, July 26, 2021, will foster important synergies between institutions and researchers from various centers, both in addressing national priorities and relevant research topics. Registered centers will receive a registration number and certificate.
We invite the authorities of social science research centers to register at the following link https://pncclacso.oncti.gob.ve/pncclacso/login.phpInstitutions that have not yet registered with CLACSO can apply for admission as member centers at the following link: https://www.clacso.org/institucional/asociaciones/
