Certain sectors of our Latin American and Caribbean societies have, for decades, constructed a set of fallacies, symbolic, cultural, and political traps that, being hegemonic, produced and reproduced totalizing narratives of a prevailing climate that we usually call neoliberal. They succeeded in establishing a set of ideas, beliefs, values, and interests that were internalized and naturalized as supposed great truths by broad social and political groups in our Latin American and Caribbean countries.
