Ibero-American Interdisciplinary Network of Researchers – Ibero-America

In 2020, six higher education institutions came together with the goal of fostering collaborative research among professors, students, and researchers from universities affiliated with the Network. At that time, their shared purpose was to strengthen and promote socio-legal research. The Ibero-American Interdisciplinary Network of Researchers, Socio-Legal Node, currently comprises 23 universities from eight Latin American countries (Mexico, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Paraguay, and Argentina).

The Network's main objectives are:

• Facilitate and promote academic and educational activities: Carry out interdisciplinary socio-legal projects to strengthen research by teachers and students.

• Promote high-level public events: Organize forums, symposia, and congresses to disseminate knowledge, promote equality in education, and strengthen law programs.

• Promote scientific production: Publish articles in indexed journals, research books and other publications of high editorial quality and free access.

The Network's primary purpose is to create and manage new knowledge through research. It seeks to consolidate interdisciplinary socio-legal research projects, disseminate knowledge, and strengthen collaborative and inter-institutional work, thereby improving the quality of law programs and the continuing education of professors and students. Furthermore, the Network fosters the exchange of information and the discussion of key topics, promoting academic events and the dissemination of publications.

The Network organizes three main events annually: the International Research Symposium, the International Meeting of Young Researchers, and the Network's International Congress. It also holds open lectures, mirror classes, master classes, and forums throughout the year, fostering interconnection and intercultural exchange among the universities.

Currently, the Network has 215 members and 13 research groups, and collaborates with evaluators in its database who contribute to the nine allied journals: including Scientific Journal of Social Studies, Dikê, Tla-melaua Vox Juris, Catalinaria Iuris, DIXI, Integration + Dissemination of scientific works, Contributions to Law: Law Journal of the University of Flores, Jalisciense Law Journal, InterNations and the University Journal of Human Rights and Culture of Peace “ELEUTHERIA”.
