Network of Gender, Feminisms and Memories of Latin America and the Caribbean
El CLACSO Working Group Network on Gender, Feminisms and Memories of Latin America and the Caribbean It was formed in 2019 and is made up of 47 researchers from different countries.
Within the diversity of perspectives and experiences that we, the members, contribute, the GT is articulated around the critical and feminist work of memories in Latin America and the Caribbean, starting from the political processes that the region has faced since the 70s.
We highlight the role of women's movements and feminist organizations that introduced increasing demands for greater democratization of social relations, and constituted a source of transformation and development of public debate; particularly, contributing new forms of participation and political action from a human, social, and civil rights perspective, as well as in the struggle for the recognition of sexual diversity and the gender perspective.
Our research, conceived from and for the study of memory, is also approached from various disciplines such as history, anthropology, political science and sociology, while we start from intersectional lenses, paying particular attention to the work of memory that involves looking at social organization, the creation of networks, popular struggles, and everything that overflows the state and institutionalized memory.

Likewise, we are actively mapping different methodological tools that allow us to broaden the idea of the archive beyond the traditional view.
