Network of Contemporary Latin American and Caribbean Social Studies

1st Graduate School – August 8-12

With the participation of 45 students and 17 teachers from 15 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, the 1st School of the Latin American Studies Network was held from August 8 to 12, an initiative of CLACSO, ALAS and the Postgraduate Program in Latin American Studies of UNAM, with the support of the Division of Social Sciences and Humanities of UAM Xochimilco.

Critical Latin American studies bring together fundamental works, reflections, and contributions from one of the finest traditions of regional social thought. The REDPEL School is committed to training new generations of researchers in this field, dedicated to the study of our societies and their transformation.

The CLACSO Training Program supports and will continue to develop initiatives like these, based on the firm conviction of the value of collaborative work, cooperation between institutions, collective reflection and training in critical, creative thinking and dialogue with the problems and challenges of our region and the world.
