I condemn the violence against the people of Jujuy, Argentina.

The CLACSO Steering Committee, in light of the acts of violence perpetrated in the province of Jujuy (Argentina) against Indigenous communities, social movements, unions, teachers, university students, and the general public, expresses its concern and condemnation of such actions by the provincial security forces. These actions negatively impact the development of a democratic society, jeopardizing peaceful coexistence within the community and the State. 

It urges public authorities to respect the demands for the rights of citizens within a framework of dialogue and considering the demands for a dignified and just life for all.
