Who is the subject of disability? This question, posed in general terms, united us in our search from various areas of knowledge, different theoretical traditions, diverse life experiences, and professional approaches. The precise answers emerged as multiplicities, unfoldings, becomings, nuances, and modes of problematization. At the same time, the need arose to collectively accompany the decolonial turn we are undergoing and the postcolonial critique we propose to incorporate into our collective work. Although it was an exploratory inquiry, it proved enriching in its opportunity to undertake critical revisions of the work we have contributed to.
This book is an adventure to delve deeper into the analysis and generate frameworks in qualitative leaps around the disputes we have been having about the hegemonic notions in which disability has been thought about
