Protests in times of cholera
This book, the first fruit of the alliance between CLACSO and ALACIP, presents the winning project of the research call "Latin American and Caribbean Political Systems in the Face of the New Wave of Mobilizations and Social Protests." Its pages analyze the wave of protests that occurred in 2019 in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and Colombia from both political and economic perspectives. The detailed study of these processes transcends the specific circumstances of 2019 to contribute to the understanding of the complex interplay between politics and society in democratic contexts. This volume represents a significant contribution to understanding the dynamics of current social protests in the countries of the region and their place within the challenges facing the political systems of our continent.
