Participatory processes and methodologies

 Participatory processes and methodologies

We are a network made up of more than 100 educators and social researchers from Latin America and Europe.

In this third period of work together with CLACSO, we propose to deepen fields of study, reflection and action

on the processes of social and citizen participation (instituting and instituted) seeking to improve our understanding of their trajectories of change, their challenges and the conditions for their democratic functioning in the Global South.

And, in addition, to explore the field of participatory methodologies, the focus of our practices.

Thus, we seek to focus our contributions on the co-generation of situated knowledge, based on critical reflection from Universities, public organizations and Civil Society.

In our work we seek to recover the participation of decolonial, gender, diversity, youth, indigenous peoples, Afro-descendants and peasant organizations and movements, which recover other practices of knowledge and power, questioning the patriarchal and colonial culture.

For its operation, in the period 2023-2025, we propose a flexible plan of self-managed activities, linked to the production of knowledge (collective research and book production), dissemination of knowledge (the sustainability of the Sentipensante Network Bulletin, generation of seminars and other means of disseminating our reflections), articulation with networks and organizations in the territories where we relate, as well as organizing meetings and promoting mobility and academic exchanges among members of the network.
