“YMCA-Citizenship and Values” Award to CLACSO

On Tuesday, June 24, the YMCA presented the “ YMCA-Citizenship and Values ” Award to the Latin American Council of Social Sciences, highlighting its work in consolidating an active, responsible citizenry committed to the common good.

On behalf of CLACSO, they received the award from its Executive Director, Karina Batthyány , and Pablo Vommaro , Executive Director-elect, after sharing an event with a large youth presence with Mario Cenci , Secretary General of the YMCA; Eduardo Ibichian , President of the YMCA; and Adrián Álvarez , President of the Superior Council of Catholic Education (CONSUDEC), an institution awarded in 2024.

The YMCA awards the "Citizenship and Values" prize to institutions and individuals distinguished for their contributions to building citizenship and promoting values ​​such as love, justice, peace, and solidarity. This award recognizes work in areas such as education, culture, sports, and social development, seeking to strengthen the social fabric and community engagement.
