Twenty years after its first edition, this work remains provocative, raising questions, sparking debate, and eliciting strong criticism from both academic and activist circles. For the author, the study of the guerrilla movement becomes a gateway to understanding Argentina's recent history, a complex subject that allows us to grasp the violence that characterized the country in the 1960s and 70s from a different perspective. This book demonstrates that violence in Argentina was part of the prevailing social norms, and in that sense, the guerrilla movement was no exception.
