Politics, affects and identities in Latin America
This new volume in the CLACSO-CALAS collection focuses on the relationship between politics, affect, and identity. The contributions it includes reflect on affect as a constitutive, yet not immutable, component of human relationships and individual and collective identities. Drawing on perspectives shaped by affect theory, the affective turn, queer theory, feminist perspectives, the history of emotions and intimacy, and other approaches, this book aims to reclaim and elevate emotional experience to a central role, an experience that otherwise risks being lost or dissolved.
