Powers, privileges, resistance and alternatives

On Friday, September 30, at 6:00 p.m. Ecuador time, the book “Powers, Privileges, Resistances and Alternatives. Critical Reading in Times of Post-Pandemic” will be presented in person at the ISTEPS Facilities, Alfonso Borrero and Av. Loja, Cuenca.
Presented by: Carlos Pastor Pazmiño, Graciela Quezada, Fabián Lalvay, Luis Herrera and Catalina Mendoza.
Organized by: CLACSO, the Higher Technological Institute of the Social, Popular and Solidarity Economy, the Andean University Simón Bolívar, the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung and Ediciones La Tierra.
Attempting to recount what is happening in the world today is quite an undertaking; it is not a task for a single person. The diversity of perspectives you will find in this book demonstrates that 16 minds are better than one. And it is not simply a matter of telling the story, but of arriving by the right path, with the appropriate message, to those seeking to decipher the events we have endured during these two years of pandemic. This collective initiative stems from the recognition of the multiple perspectives with which we approach the same problem: the effects of the privileges of some and the alternative resistances of others, amidst a global crisis that carries local consequences.
