 Poverty and social policies

This Working Group on Poverty and Social Policies It was established in 2000 as a collective that studies and critically debates the conditions of poverty, inequality and social exclusion, as well as the design and implementation of social policies in Latin American countries.

In the current situation characterized by a marked increase in poverty and inequality in the different countries of the region, this group, from its thematic tradition, supported by studies and discussions reflected in a large number of CLACSO publications, takes on the challenge of to innovate in their conceptual tools and empirical research strategies in order to find new explanations and offer possible alternatives in public policy.
