Legal pluralism, multi-normativity and conviviality

 Legal pluralism, multi-normativity and conviviality

We present a new volume in collaboration with Mecila. Within an interdisciplinary field concerned with the historical and present constitution of the normative and legal foundations of societies in Latin America, the contributions to this book address a twofold challenge: first, the relationship of multinormativity with its more widespread conceptual counterpart of legal pluralism; and second, the possibilities of conceptual interaction between multinormativity and conviviality.

Does multinormativity genuinely contribute anything new compared to the more widespread concept of legal pluralism? How does multinormativity intervene in the debate on conviviality, living with difference and inequality, or does coexistence offer means to deepen our understanding of multinormativity?
