The figure of Flora Tristán, writer, traveler, and advocate for women's rights, not only remains relevant, but her contributions are especially pertinent in the current context of struggles, demands, and debates about the role of feminism and its relationship to class inequalities. Author of travel diaries, essays, and a novel, Flora Tristán expressed her socialist and internationalist perspective in her writings, advocating for divorce and access to work and education. This edition presents a selection of her writings, not only from her best-known work, Peregrinations of a Pariah, but also from Walks in London, Workers' Union, and The Tour de France, which reaffirm her pioneering role in observing and narrating the links between patriarchy and capitalism, the enslavement of Indigenous women, and the situation of foreign women in France.
