Thinking about contemporary feminisms
In the context of another International Women's Day (March 8th), we present two key books for understanding contemporary feminisms. *¿Un mar en calma? Continuidades, transformaciones y desafíos de los activismos feministas jóvenes en América Latina* (A Calm Sea? Continuities, Transformations, and Challenges of Young Feminist Activism in Latin America), co-published with Ariadna Publishers , brings together research on young feminist activism in Latin America, its mobilizations, agendas, and challenges from an intersectional and decolonial perspective. * Mientras miro las nuevas olas. Qué cambió, qué no y qué es resistencia con la irrupción feminista en las universitarias argentinas* (While I Look at the New Waves: What Changed, What Didn't, and What Remains Resisted with the Feminist Eruption in Argentine Universities) , co-published with the Gino Germani Research Institute , analyzes the feminist eruption in Argentine universities between 2018 and 2025, addressing violence, gender politics, disputes, and resistance that permeate the current academic and political landscape.
