Thinking about university

This book pays tribute to Pedro Krotsch This collection compiles works that allow us to recover key insights for understanding the current reality of our university institutions. The texts gathered here are organized into sections based on thematic cores that appear as persistent concerns throughout his work: the construction of a field of university studies; the expansion, differentiation, and increasing complexity of university systems in general and the Argentine system in particular; the institutions and the dimension of university governance; the centrality of the actors involved; and, finally, the link between university and society. The chapters of this book are linked by a series of conceptual polarities that lend it strategic coherence and compelling vigor.
