“Pedagogies that transform”
El Institute for Research and Pedagogical Development launched the first season of “Pedagogies that transform, the IDEP podcastWith this new audio format, the aim is to forge a closer relationship with teachers and school administrators in the district, as well as with the educational communities. The topics, divided into five episodes, are linked to the strategies of the "Transformative Pedagogies" research program of the Institute for Pedagogical Research and Development, a CLACSO Member Center.
This space aims to connect with leaders and/or experts in educational research and development who are interested in pedagogical transformation. Undoubtedly, this new communication channel will contribute to the Program's objectives, which seek to consolidate academic communities, promote pedagogical innovation, and produce knowledge that informs decision-making at the various levels of educational policy, from the classroom to the political sphere.

Episode 1: Pedagogies that Transform (Part One)
This episode provides context and explains the importance of the Pedagogies that Transform program as a tool for educational change in the city. Guest: Mauricio castillo, economist, specializing in Social Policy, with extensive experience in the education sector as an executive and strategic consultant in the public and private sectors in planning, development, implementation, coordination and direction of social projects and currently director of IDEP.

Episode 2: Pedagogies that transform: Part Two April 27. Outlines the strategies of the 'Pedagogies that Transform' program with an emphasis on community-based work. Guest: Mauricio castillo: economist, specializing in Social Policy, with extensive experience in the education sector as an executive and strategic consultant in the public and private sectors in planning, development, implementation, coordination and management of social projects and currently director of IDEP.

Episode 3: Trends and needs of educational and pedagogical research in Bogotá May 11. Examines the findings, approaches, and contributions of the research conducted by IDEP on research trends, which guided the definition of the entity's research projects for this four-year period. Guest: Marina Camargo, sociologist and researcher, has a master's degree in Educational and Social Development, and is a doctor and postdoctoral fellow in Social Sciences, Childhood and Youth.

Episode 4: Mental health in schools. Part One May 25. Examines the importance of investigating mental health in schools. With Sandra Albarracín Lara, principal of Tabora school: university professor, Master in Education, PhD in Education specializing in management and organization, and with a postdoctoral degree in Social Sciences and Interculturality. Orlando ScoppettaPsychologist, Master in Population Studies and in Psychology, PhD in Psychology. Researcher and consultant with extensive experience in the field of public policy, mental health and psychoactive substance use.

Episode 5: Mental health in schools. Part two June 8. Presents and discusses the findings of the mental health research conducted by IDEP. Lorena ArosThe school counselor at the San Cayetano rural school holds a degree in Psychology and Pedagogy, a specialization in school neuropsychology, and a Master's degree in Education. She has worked as a teacher for 13 years and for the last 8 years in one of the 28 rural schools in Bogotá. Orlando ScoppettaPsychologist, Master in Population Studies and in Psychology, PhD in Psychology. Researcher and consultant with extensive experience in the field of public policy, mental health and psychoactive substance use.
The research program in question aims to position educational and pedagogical research as a factor of educational change in the city, through the generation of knowledge and innovations that are the result of research and teacher training processes, based on the deciphering of school realities from the grammar of school knowledge and in order to improve the quality of school life.
Voices that inspire, education that transforms
Taking as its starting point the fact that the Research Program is based on a knowledge management approach understood as a public good, this season involves an in-depth analysis with teachers and researchers of its origins, how it is constructed, and how it develops. The findings of the first two research projects carried out by IDEP during 2024 and 2025 are also presented.
