Luddite Pedagogy

In a context where the corporate world repeatedly claims that technology will be the solution to the various problems in our lives (and therefore that it will be technology, not the popular will for transformation, that will change our education), it is time to shed light on the contradictions, limitations, and outright lies embedded in this narrative, and proceed to combat it politically and pedagogically. It is time, then, to organize from the ground up, sharpen the weapons of critique, and carefully decide which concepts, principles, circuits, and artifacts of the educational megamachine to target with our modern-day Enochian hammer. The time has come to dismantle the mechanistic governance with which capital and power now seek to legitimize so much injustice, cruelty, and human suffering—all necessary for the survival of both power and capital itself.
