Social organization of care and health crisis in Latin America and the Caribbean
“The coronavirus pandemic has had unprecedented effects on the daily lives of people in Latin America and the Caribbean, with particularly serious repercussions for low-income households. The health crisis has disrupted the lifestyles we were accustomed to. This pandemic has highlighted what part of feminism has considered central to rethinking a project that puts life at its center: we are all interdependent,” argues Karina Batthyány, Executive Secretary of CLACSO, in her introduction to the topic in her analysis within the framework of the Latin American Studies Association (LASA) Forum on Covid-19.
