Opportunities and challenges for Latin America and the Caribbean

As Executive Director of the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO), I am grateful for the opportunity to share CLACSO's perspective on the recent debates in China regarding the Fifteenth Five-Year Plan (2026-2030). This perspective is based on the critical and transformative Latin American and Caribbean thought developed by CLACSO within the context of regional political struggles and evolving multilateralism. For CLACSO, dialogue with the People's Republic of China, a key player in the transition of the global system, is essential for moving toward a more just, equitable, and peaceful international landscape.
