Observatory of Social Participation and Territory – Chile
The Observatory of Social Participation and Territory emerged in 2012 from the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Playa Ancha, Valparaíso, Chile. From its inception, it has defined itself as a space for dialogue, research, and exchange among academics, students, and social actors interested in exploring and critically examining the knowledge, strengths, and needs of territories and their communities. Over its ten years of existence, it has become a space that revitalizes and reinterprets the relationship between the University and social forces, contributing from the grassroots to addressing the enormous political, economic, and environmental challenges facing the country.
