 New challenges for regional higher education

On Wednesday, December 6, the Gino Germani Institute of Social Research of Argentina (IIGG) and the Latin American Council of Social Sciences presented the book “New challenges for regional higher education”, Coordinated by Martín Unzué y Daniela Perrotta.

This book aims to present the reflections, proposals, and analyses from the Forum “Challenges of Higher Education in Latin America and the Caribbean,” held within the framework of the 9th Latin American and Caribbean Conference of Social Sciences: “Networks of Inequalities in Latin America and the Caribbean: Knowledge, Struggles, and Transformations,” celebrated at the National Autonomous University of Mexico in June 2022. Through four panels, this forum sought to highlight the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on higher education systems and institutions in the region, as well as to delve into future perspectives on the role of educational institutions and the challenges of counteracting existing inequalities, improving social living conditions, and guaranteeing the right to education.
