Our America, the United States and China
This book, co-published with Batalla de Ideas and coordinated by Gabriel Merino and Leandro Morgenfeld, is the product of many years of research by CLACSO working groups dedicated to the United States, China, and the analysis of global power dynamics. It does not analyze our region as a mere object of dispute between the major powers, nor through the lens of academia in the Global North, but rather as an actor that must develop its own perspective at this particular moment in which a hybrid and fragmented world war is unfolding. Accustomed to being understood from the Global North, we propose in this work a reversal of traditional approaches. With this approach, academics and researchers from various countries in the region outline in this book the main features of the dispute between the United States and China, how it affects us, and how we must develop our own strategy in the face of this turbulent scenario.
