These two new volumes in the Miradas Latinoamericanas collection, co-published with Siglo XXI México, are the result of the second open call of the same name and are available in paper format.
Indigenous and Afro-descendant women facing the discourse of modern law This volume is dedicated to analyzing the meanings of the rights of Indigenous and Afro-descendant women in contemporary debate. It addresses the diverse perspectives with which these women challenge the discourse of modern law and how this discourse interprets and reformulates their demands.
Unequal Latin America: Questions, Approaches, and Recent Trends This collection aims to provide an overview of the research and perspectives that have accompanied the renewed interest in inequality in Latin America since the beginning of the century. These texts seek to contribute to the understanding of the heterogeneous socio-historical processes of equality/inequality in Latin America, which is a fundamental input for building social consensus and political agendas that promote equality in our societies.
