New publication: Tribute to Roberto Fernández Retamar and Héctor Schmucler
Roberto Fernández Retamar and Héctor «Toto» Schmucler contributed like few others to thinking about some of the great themes of our time.
Schmucler focused his attention on the relationships between politics and memory, communication and culture, through an exercise of attentive listening and permanent dialogue.
Fernández Retamar presented the figure of Martí like no one else; the role of the Revolution and anti-imperialism, committed to a cultural task as enormous as it was vital: building the integration of Latin America and the Caribbean.
CLACSO supported the special issues produced by the Center for Advanced Studies (Argentina) and Casa de las Américas (Cuba) paying tribute to two great intellectuals who—through their commitment and expertise—helped us to understand our region and the world. Download magazine
