They shall not pass! All solidarity with the Lula government and the people of Brazil

El CLACSO Working Group on Decolonial Epistemologies, Territorialities and Culture expresses its strongest condemnation of the attempted coup by terrorist groups that support the fascist former president Jair Bolsonaro, which took place in Brazil on January 8.

With the apparent complicity of Brasília's military police, thousands of terrorists, funded by unknown sources, invaded the Presidential Palace, the National Congress, and the Supreme Court, looting the premises and attempting to illegally occupy these public buildings. On Sunday, President Lula decreed a federal intervention in the Brasília government to uphold the law and prevent this attempted coup.

Fascists will not stage a coup against democracy.
