Course presentation:
This seminar is designed as a series of motivational and discussion sessions to present topics that guide the selection of research methods related to agroecological intensification. The course is open to researchers and/or students working in agricultural research in the broadest sense, where the production and reproduction of sustainable agricultural systems are of importance.
Contents:
- What is agricultural research with an emphasis on systems?
- What is meant by quality in research processes?
- How to achieve the integration of qualitative and quantitative methods?
- Write the report first, and then plan your research process.
- What is variability and why is it important in research?
- Representative results: How to obtain them and when are they important?
- Basic ideas about sampling
- Options by context: a useful approach in applied agricultural research processes.
- Elements for good research data management
- Recommendations for managing research bibliography

The basic requirements for taking a seminar are:
- Availability of at least 4 hours per week to dedicate to the seminar course.
- Internet access.
- Reasonable handling of communication and computer tools.
- Language proficiency in the language in which the course will be taught. The official languages are Spanish and Portuguese.
