Middle East and North Africa

El CLACSO Working Group Middle East and North Africa It seeks to coordinate the work of researchers from different parts of Latin America dedicated to the political, economic and socio-cultural studies of the Middle East and North Africa.

Through this proposal we aim to consolidate the work of the already established network among trained researchers, expanding its presence to young researchers, especially master's and doctoral students.

This initiative also aims to increase the presence of these topics in knowledge production and social science education in Latin America. Simultaneously, it seeks to enrich the debate and exchange of ideas by expanding our collaboration with networks and researchers in the Arab and Islamic world.

Likewise, the Group intends to advise, from its academic profile, on the formation of public policies that pertain to this area in the different governmental bodies of our region.
