Marxisms and resistances of the global south

El CLACSO Working Group Marxisms and resistances of the global southIt seeks to contribute to current knowledge, from a multi- and transdisciplinary perspective,
The analysis of these themes, starting from late Marxism and extending to the reinterpreted Marxisms of the 21st century, will focus particularly on the ideological terrain, the sociology of culture, anthropology, political sociology, and the intellectual history of peripheral Marxist productions. Simultaneously, in the field of empirical studies and social, economic, and geopolitical analysis, the aim is to guide research to question and investigate the extent to which these productions of peripheral, Third World, and Global South Marxisms are present in, or have influenced, the social processes and resistance movements of recent decades in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Thus, we seek to make our discussion proposals known in different areas of the academic, intellectual and social platforms, based on the following methodologies: a) to draw the sociological map of the different national appropriations and resignifications of the Marxist paradigm from the Global South; b) to explore the socio-political and cultural consequences that derive from these diverse phases of the decentering of conventional Marxism, in order to understand the ideological-political-cultural constellations in the emancipatory social processes of the region and even within the rebel communities of the United States; c) to develop a cartography of the social and popular struggles of the Global South related to peripheral Marxism, which are characterized by claiming structural processes of transformation, as well as the diverse networks that have managed to coordinate strategies and define common approaches.
