Are gender mandates in transformation?

The "Gender Sociology Research Group"of the Faculty of Social Sciences of UDELAR and the "Care System“They presented the report on Tuesday, April 29th.Social representations of care in Uruguay: gender mandates in transformation? Comparative analysis 2011-2023”, an investigation by the University of the Republic with the support of UN Women and ECLAC.

Participants:Karina Batthyány, teacher and researcher at the Faculty of Social Sciences of UDELAR and executive director of CLACSO; Susana Muñiz, National Secretary for Care and Disability; Carmen Midaglia, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, UDELAR; Cecilia Alemany, deputy regional director of UN Women; Valentina Perrotta, Director of Care at the Ministry of Social Development (MIDES); Monica Xavier, director of the National Institute for Women; Paola Mascheroni, PhD in sociology from UDELAR, member of the GT “Agricultural work, inequalities and ruralities; Adriana Roviraattached to the Care Directorate; and Sol Scavino, teacher and researcher at the Faculty of Social Sciences of UDELAR.

The program for Wednesday, April 30th covers one of the main themes of the Platforms for Social Dialogue that CLACSO is promoting for the coming years: Rights, violence and gender equality.
