Mandate and contingency. Evo Morales's governing style
The conversations included in the book “Mandate and Contingency: Evo Morales’s Style of Government” are privileged, revealing, and reflect a long period of reflection on the Bolivian political process.
“For more than two years, between 2017 and 2019, Bolivian researcher Fernando Mayorga explored, identified, and described Evo Morales’s governing style. Through dialogue with the former president himself and his inner circle, he examined the political decision-making process in Bolivia that characterized the fourteen years of the Movement for Socialism – Political Instrument for the Sovereignty of the Peoples (MAS-IPSP) administration. This exploratory study was conducted with support from the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Bolivia,” explain CLACSO Executive Secretary Karina Batthyány and FES Bolivia Director Jan Souverein in the prologue.
