Anti-patriarchal struggles, families, gender diversities and citizenship

El CLACSO Working Group on anti-patriarchal struggles, families, gender diversities and citizenship It has been consolidating since 2013. The new work plan for the period 2023-2025 constitutes the third phase of work, continuing the understanding of anti-patriarchal struggles in the region and their link with the construction of citizenship and rights. 

In these relationships, we focus on the subject of families and the conditions of production and reproduction of life, integrating a gender perspective. The sociopolitical context, also framed by the events of the COVID-19 pandemic, reaffirms the importance of the issues addressed in this trajectory. We maintain that the state, the political, politics, and policies are strongly questioned in these scenarios, challenging the nature of the public sphere and its meanings.

Therefore, we want to demonstrate how and in what ways struggles and demonstrations are expanding, or not, in a field of politics that is no longer restricted to the public sphere but encompasses all social relations. Furthermore, we aim to make visible the actions and omissions, protections and lack of protections that shape the context for socio-familial relationships and their possibilities for well-being, existence, and belonging (within the framework of the post-pandemic era and its impact).
