CLACSO Working Groups on the road to the #CLACSO2025 Conference

Together we are building the largest event in the global network of Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts with a Latin American and Caribbean perspective.

More than 160 coordinators from the 87 CLACSO Working Groups 2023-2025 They participated in a large virtual meeting to prepare the GTs' participation in the X Latin American and Caribbean Conference of Social Sciences of CLACSO "Horizons and transformations for equality." Democracies, resistance, communities, rights and peace, which will take place from 9 to 12 June 2025 in the city of Bogotá, Colombia.

At the meeting Karina Batthyány, Executive Director, presented the X CLACSO Conference; and Pablo VommaroThe Academic Secretary reviewed the various spaces and participation options for the Working Groups, which are one of the driving forces of the network and will be key players in the CLACSO2025 Conference.

The meeting focused on sharing the 24 thematic areas that will organize the 10th Conference and discussing the dynamics and formats of the activities and meetings that will take place in Bogotá. These will be:

– Masterful dialogues
– Working tables
– Panels
– Thematic forums
– Workshops
– Book presentation 
– Special activities

In addition, the dates and schedules for work and submission of proposals to organize the participation of the Groups in the Conference were shared. 

The meeting was highly participatory and generated a lot of expectations and enthusiasm among the 87 participating groups.
