The Working Groups heading towards #CLACSO2022

On Tuesday, August 31, the general meeting of coordinators of Working Groups was held to exchange ideas about the participation of the Working Groups in the #CLACSO2022 Conference.

The meeting was attended by Karina Batthyány, Executive Secretary of CLACSO; Darío Salinas, member of the Steering Committee representing the CLACSO Mexico centers; Pablo Vommaro, Director of Research; Gustavo Lema, Director of Communication and Information; and the management team of the Working Groups coordinated by Natalia Gianatelli and made up of Rodolfo Gómez, Cecilia Gofman, Tomás Bontempo, Giovanny Daza and Florencia Mogni; along with more than 140 coordinators of the Working Groups.

The meeting served to exchange information about the Conference and discuss the Working Groups' proposals for participation; it also provided an opportunity to ask questions and address concerns, as well as discuss logistical and organizational matters. We would like to highlight that, to date, 79 Working Groups have submitted 123 proposals for #CLACSO2022.

It was also noted that the system for submitting papers for the open working groups will open on September 10.

The meeting took place in a highly enthusiastic, collaborative, and friendly atmosphere, with participants sharing concerns and proposals and learning about the work plans of the participating working groups. It was agreed that communication would continue through organizational channels that would allow for the implementation of the proposed activities and initiatives.
