The power groups behind the coup in Bolivia
Gonzalo Vargas, a member of the CLACSO Working Group on “Geopolitics and Resistance,” reported for CLACSO Radio on the situation 24 hours after the coup that overthrew the legitimate government in his country. After analyzing the economic interests behind the ongoing destabilization, Vargas concluded that in Bolivia “class tensions have intensified,” with ethnic consciousness playing a significant role.
