The challenges of the social sciences in the Latin American context
In the context of Women's History Month, this new volume in the Critical Mass collection, authored by Karina Batthyány , highlights the urgent need to overcome the inequities and inequalities in our region through collective effort and by outlining a new social contract that will allow for the construction of a more just world. In this endeavor, the social sciences must play a leading role, as their tools will be fundamental in guiding government decision-making, rethinking structural public policies, and developing a collective proposal for Latin America and the Caribbean.
The Critical Mass library makes available to readers a set of essential texts to interpret the frayed edges of the present and to deploy collective capacities to transform it.
