In the context of a fragmented international society, a multipolar world in conflict, and a pandemic and war crisis, we are publishing this book, produced by researchers from diverse backgrounds, experiences, and career paths, within the framework of the research call organized by CLACSO, "The Challenges of Multipolarism in a Multipolar World and Times of Crisis." In a Latin America and the Caribbean that is always contested territory in the new dynamics of the global system, the chapters that comprise this book focus on various dimensions of multilateralism, such as the new maps of global power, deglobalization, the realignment of alliances, and the impacts of the pandemic. These texts are a significant contribution to understanding and unraveling the multilateral relations of Latin America and the Caribbean with the rest of the world; to building, in this complex and interdependent world, more just relationships between countries and regions.
