Section of the weekly program InfoCLACSO intended to analyze, reflect and develop proposals based on the question: What challenges do public universities face in Latin America?

Carlota Casalino, historian, principal lecturer at UNMSC, and Marcel Velázquez, PhD in Latin American Literature and research professor at UNMSC analyze the conflict unleashed and the repression against the demands for clean elections of deans, faculty representatives and students to collegiate governing bodies.
Universities and Depatriarchalization
Students and professors from Latin American universities said “enough!” to gender-based violence in educational spaces. As a result, feminist academics from various countries are discussing the transformations taking place in multiple dimensions of the university sphere, the difficulties in achieving them, and the successes identified. Participants: Paula Contreras (Chile), Noelia Correa (Uruguay), Eliana Debia (Argentina), Almudena Cabezas (Spain), and Selene Aldana (Mexico). Organized by the CLACSO Working Group “Universities and Depatriarchalization.”
