Launch of the Latin American Association for Educational Research
CLACSO participated in the launch event of the Latin American Association for Educational Research – ALIEFounded with the purpose of building a meeting space for those who research education in the region, promoting Latin American critical thinking in this field and contributing to public debate and policy development, taking into consideration both the historical injustices that our societies face and the disputes that are experienced today.
Fernanda Saforcada (Argentina) and Geovana Lunardi (Brazil) were elected as interim President and Vice President, both members of the CLACSO Working Group on Educational Policies and the Right to Education.
The event took place on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters, UBA, and was attended by Pablo Vommaro, Academic Secretary of CLACSO, Miriam Fabia, President of ANPED, and Daniel Suarez, Director of IICE-UBA.
