The forum was organized by the RUC, the Municipality of Río Grande, the National University of Tierra del Fuego, and the UTN Regional Faculty of Tierra del Fuego. It was also sponsored by the Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI); the Pontifical Commission for Latin America; the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF); and the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO).
