The situation of Indigenous communication at the international, national, and local levels is deeply concerning. Therefore, this book seeks, first, to highlight the situation in which Indigenous and Afro-descendant communicators in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, and Venezuela live and carry out their work. Second, it aims to make available knowledge of relevant national and international legal instruments, as well as statistics and information derived from the communities, collectives, confederations, and movements that are members of the Latin American Coordinating Body for Indigenous Peoples' Film and Communication (CLACPI). Third, it seeks to contribute to the strengthening and protection of our right to communication.
