Milei's labor reform

The labor reform promoted by Javier Milei's government is not a technical update of labor law, but rather a political gamble to redefine the relationships between capital, labor, and the state. This Working Paper brings together the contributions of researchers, specialists, and union leaders who analyze, from diverse perspectives, the reform's main pillars: hiring and probationary periods, the compensation system, the reduction of litigation, formal employment, and the transformations in collective action and union representation. The volume also examines its effects on women and gender minorities, the informal economy, platform work, and the future of employment. Its contributions seek to reconstruct the societal project behind this reform and to challenge the meaning of the ongoing transformations from a perspective of democracy, equality, and social justice.
