The social and popular rebellion of 2021 in Colombia
This book, the sixth in the En Movimiento collection, aims to contribute to the characterization of the social and popular rebellion experienced during 2021, as a historical milestone and at the same time as an unfinished process, which transcends the events, the moments of intensity and the direct confrontation recorded between the months of April and July of that year.
The strike of April 28, 2021, and the social rebellion of the months that followed marked a milestone in the history of rebellions in Colombia, leading to a new quality of social and class conflict as well as social and popular struggles: a new working class (in the broadest sense) that makes itself heard throughout the country, a mass critique against the current social order, and a protest with anti-systemic features.
