The fabricated normality. Neoliberalism, fake news, and democracy
In this book –the third product of an open call for publications in partnership between CLACSO and the National University of Quilmes, Argentina– Andrea Ximena Holgado The essay questions whether it is possible to envision a future outside the dystopian neoliberal rationality in which we live. To attempt an approach to what the author considers this growing techno-reality, this essay articulates three premises: neoliberalism as rationality, fake news as a denial of factuality, and communication technologies and networks as ideology.
